Launched in 2022 to address a critical and persistent gap in college advising for low-income youth of color in grades 7–12, the College Preparatory Academy empowers youth in grades 7-12 to navigate post-secondary pathways with clarity and confidence. We connect students with mentors who reflect their lived experiences, helping them secure the funding and support they need to thrive.
Proven Results: Since 2022, our students have earned over $2.5 million in scholarships.
Expert Mentorship: Receive 1-on-1 sessions with our College Prep Specialists - current college students who have personally earned at least $50,000 in scholarships. These specialists are compensated hourly and receive bonuses based on the verified scholarship dollars earned by the students they support, incentivizing measurable outcomes.
Comprehensive Workshops: Attend monthly sessions covering the full journey, including "Telling Your Story," “Applications& Admissions,” "Paying for College," and "HBCU There".
Financial Literacy: We focus heavily on educating and guiding students on the cost of college, the FAFSA application, and scholarship acquisition to minimize or eliminate student debt.
